HR Assistant – Human Resources

North Star Mutual Insurance Company is looking for an individual to perform HR generalist and recruitment duties pertaining to our full-time entry level positions, internships and temporary, part-time roles. Conducting interviews, working with high schools/technical colleges/universities, coordinating schedules and the ability to work with a variety of departments to fulfill their staffing needs is the foundation of this role.

Individuals that are strong public speakers, are natural networkers, have a high level of organizational skills, event coordination experience and can find people first solutions are encouraged to apply. This role will be a mix of administrative and direct people focused work so strong verbal and written communication will be essential. If you are creative, self-motivated and have big-picture, strategic planning skills in order to further develop our internship program by creating real world, meaningful and interactive experiences for them then this may be the role for you. Some regional travel expected.

Bachelor’s or associates degree in Human Resources or a related field along with prior recruitment, program development and interviewing experience preferred.  The ability to maintain and model a high level of confidentiality required.
