Claims Representative

This is an in-office position which involves working towards a prompt, fair and economical resolution of claims. It involves the handling of new or reopened claims. The representative needs to confirm coverage, set reserves, send out necessary forms, and assign adjusters, if appropriate. This person must also handle all written correspondence claims and handle all telephone communications. An ability to analyze liability and contract issues, evaluate injury and/or property damage and conclude claims through negotiations is a plus. Since telephone communications and written correspondences are a large part of this position, a person must have good communication skills (both oral and written). Basic mathematical skills, proficiency with a personal computer, good organizational skills, self-motivation and the ability to comprehend and apply industry related concepts are skills needed for this position.
