This in-office position involves handling new or reopened claims, working towards prompt, fair and correct settlement of claim files. Data entry, use of computers and file management are a large part of this fast-paced work environment. Applicants must be able to document and manage first and third-party claim files in compliance with state law and company policy; assess coverage; set reserves; assign and assist field adjusters; analyze liability and contract issues; evaluate bodily injury and/or property damage; and negotiate claim files to conclusion. This dynamic position involves exposures to many industries such as legal, medical and construction.
All applicants must have a bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent insurance-related experience. Preference for this position will be given to those who possess basic math, technology, and organizational skills, as well as, be a self-motivated, team player. This individual must have excellent written, verbal and telephone communication skills.
